LETTERS HOMEWORK, PRE K-3
LANGUAGE CRAFT LETTERS HOMEWORK, PRE K-3 supplements the Rap and Write Phonics
Verses and Directions book. Each letter is introduced. Each verse in the book describes how to
form the letter. The verse ends with a letter-sound rhyme.
The letters on the first page of LETTERS HOMEWORK reprersent seven of the eight circle letters.
The Rapping Ladybug teaches that these seven letters, o, c, d, s, a, g, and f start at her home.
The LADYBUG LANGUAGE teaches the child that the LADYBUG STARTS AT HER HOME AND
GOES UP TO THE WINDOW. The LADYBUG LANGUAGE IS THE KEY TO WHERE TO START
FORMING THE LETTER AND THE DIRECTIONALITY OF THE LETTER. THE LADYBUG GOES ON TO
TEACH A VERSE. The verse tells the child the sound of the letter in a delightful little rhyme that
children can remember and sing.
The Letters Homework book is two-fold. It reinforces the letter sound and it reinforces “howto”
form the letter. The children will be receiving formation instructions in the classroom and
will be able to relate the RAPPING LADYBUG’S RHYME as they practice the flashcards.
