One of the things that frustrates me most about assigning table work is the dreaded "I'm DONE!" the second after you pass out the papers. Hopefully this packet effectively addresses that issue in a way that challenges your learners and also combines fine motor skills, invented spelling, and compare and contrast in one straight forward activity.
--13 pages that compare letters sequentially in the alphabet.
--Students color and cut out picture cards and then glue them to the appropriate beginning sound.
This is perfect for:
--Workshop Time: when you need to pull a small group to work on specific skills but also need the rest of the class meaningfully engaged in a quiet activity
--Beginning of the Year: our district uses Wonders which quickly introduces each letter in ABC order and then goes back throughout the year to study each letter sound in more isolated detail.
I hope your kids enjoy this activity.
Have a great day!
