Check out this fun way for your child or students to learn to recognize their uppercase and lowercase letters and sounds! The children enjoy working with paperclip flash cards and learn their letters/sounds and sight words in no time at all!
Directions: Print flash cards on cardstock and then laminate. Cut out and punch a hole in the corner. Place 15 letters on a ring and add three paperclips on each card to the right of the letter. If the child is able to say the letter or sound (whichever they are working on mastering) correctly they take off one paperclip and move on to the next card. If they do not know the letter/sound, they do not remove a paperclip. Tell them the letter/sound and have them repeat it to you and move on to the next card. Have the child do them once a day. As they master them and all three paper clips are off, remove the card and replace with a new letter they need to master.
Also available in kindergarten and first grade sight words!
