Students write thank you letters to our troops for protecting our freedoms.
This packet includes a brainstorming page where students define what it means to be free and then write down activities they can do because of our freedom. There is also a direction page for students to use on getting ready to write their letter. Students use their brainstorming page to decide what they want to write about and take quick notes. It also provides some ideas about the cover of the card. I have included a blank card for students to design, plus some card designs that students could choose just to color. Also included are two choices of line spacing for the cards, and a rubric for the friendly letter and one for the grammar.
Thank you for making this a part of your lessons and for supporting our troops.
