Letters to My Future Self | Use With Distance Learning

Give your students the opportunity to give their future selves a little advice and pep talks through this creative writing activity.

What is the product?

This writing activity gives students the opportunity to write letters to their future-self. Students will write a variety of letters on different topics and will seal the letters inside envelopes to be opened on a particular date or event. To make the booklet, staple five or six envelopes together (one for each writing prompt that you select) on the left side of the envelopes. Glue or attach a label to the front of each envelope and print the letter template for each label (three different sized lined paper included). Students will write a letter and seal it inside the envelope. Allow students to determine when they can open each envelope in the future.
