THIS ACTIVITY HELPS:
BSL Productive Skills (students signing questions and answers)
BSL Receptive Skils (Students watching and understanding questions)
BSL topic: Schools
Personalized language tasks (students can decide what to sign themselves)
Repetition task (helps develop fluency and confidence)
BSL Grammar (handout has guided structure to help remind students what order they should be signing in)
This is a great activity to do once you have taught the vocabulary for SCHOOLS for Level 2.
HOW TO USE:
Give each student one of the sheets and ensure that they know the BSL grammar that they are signing (go over it with each group of students per question set so you are not repeating yourself!)
Ask students to work in their groups to ask their questions and complete the table.
This repetition of asking will help develop BSL grammar practice.
Its also a great task as students really do like talking about their memories (good and bad!) of school.
Meanwhile, either you observe and feedback or take a question sheet as interact with the students to work 1:1.
