The final project is “Une Vacance Gratuit au Pays Francophone”. The students will work in partners to create a conversation between two people – a travel agent and a prize winner of a trip. Using the futur proche and the modelled examples, they should be able (after this unit work) create a conversation with very little use of computers. Most of it is putting their sentences into futur proche on their own. You could create one with them as a model so they understand the task at hand.
After they have the 1st organized rough draft done, they need to make it into a copy of their own. I use google classroom for my projects with senior students which is why the box is so small – they make their own for me on google docs to submit. You can choose to do a regular paper rough draft if you prefer.
The final copy can be in google docs like mine after edits, or you can have them type out a final copy.
Students will present the conversation and you can integrate technology to do this if you wish such as iPad apps such as Sock Puppets, Tellagami, etc. Or you can have them make their “conversation” into a video skit.
You can simply have them present in class if technology is not available or easy for you to use.
The first lesson should be spent on going over the final project and creating a model together. If time, students can figure out partners or you can assign partners.
