Use for Kindergarten as introduction to reading or as an early intervention tool for grades 1, 2, 3. This book looks at the sentences "I can...." patterns. Each page has a main drawing and labels of that main drawing to help children see how labeling can be done in their own writing. Hint: whenever possible provide writing and reading opportunities often and integrated because a young learner needs to develop both reading and writing skills early for success!

Dear Parents and Teachers,

Thank you for showing interest in my products. You will find familiar drawings of familiar things that your young learner will become familiar throughout my products. There is a lot of repetition as well in all my products. This is done with a purpose to give beginning learners the confidence needed in becoming a fluent reader. Kids will find enough support as they tackle the printed word. When you guide the learner through meaningful questions, the reader will begin to build comprehension skills too. It is all built in with your guidance and support. I first began introducing this system of reading to 3 and 4 year-olds. It was amazing to see the progress and interest in a short period of time. You too will see the twinkle of the eyes. You will see the confidence that they can 'read'. Half the battle toward an independent reader will be won. Have fun with your students!

Sincerely,

Alberto Gutierrez
