This leveled flipbook is designed to teach students how to add adjectives into their sentences. There are 3 levels. For Level 1, students write down describing words based on the 5 senses and then use 2 words to help describe the item. For Level 2, students write down describing words based on the 5 senses and then use 2 adjectives to fill in the descriptive sentence. For Level 3, students need to create their own sentence using at least 2 adjectives.
Set Up: A poster explaining adjectives is on pg. 4. Example pages are included on pg. 5-7. These can be printed and laminated for reference. Print and laminate mats for each level (pg. 8-10); these will be the bases. Print, laminate, and cut out the item cards (pg. 11-15). All the item cards will work with any level. Hole punch the corners and attach to the gray square on each mat. These can be flipped through. Students will write on the mats with a dry erase marker.
There are 2 “circle the adjectives” worksheets and a practice worksheet for each level (pg. 16-20).
