Help your parents know how to support their children as they are moving through each guided reading level. There are three ways to look at words: sight words, word sorts(phonics), and writing vocabulary. When children are practicing the words they are seeing in their guided reading books then their reading will be improved and accelerated. The newsletters in this packet will list the words that should be learned at each level. They also list the important reading strategies that are being taught at school. Finally, to encourage reading at home, there is a section on each newsletter that lists the leveled trade books that can be found at a library or bookstore.
This download is EDITABLE in case you want to add some of your own information.
