Product Description
Every proponent of a tax uses the "shiny object" limited focus on that one tax without apprising the taxed of the total taxation big picture. In an effort to share the big picture, full view of taxation, this PowerPoint details the levels of government that may tax and the kinds of taxes each level of government prefers. It also compares the kinds of taxes of the Founding Era and the first 150 years with taxation as acerbated since 1913 and 1933. The latter part of the slides deal with the exponential increase in federal government taxation, as well as the exponential debt and unfunded liabilities accruement by the same. The New Inconvenient Truth as the many, many graphs, the fed gov's own, prove is the nation can not tax itself into prosperity, but only debt and ruin. War debt piled onto the nation's credit card and the debt of social welfare benefits for 50% of the nation are unsustainable, even with increased taxation revenue, in fact, unsustainable if Bernie takes every last dime from every billionaire. As the national debt races to $20 trillion, the unfunded liabilities five times the debt, and politicians who promise "freebies" for votes, we are on a sure path to self-destruction. Teachers need to use data to prove to students nothing is free; it's only free for a few and costly to many, many more.
