Marzano’s levels of understanding is an easy way for students to self-assess their understanding of the day's teaching. It also allows the teacher to see the way the students feel about a particular concept to plan for individualized and small group instruction.
Because of the kid-friendly language, students can easily show their understanding by holding up the number of fingers corresponding to their level, or you can have them write the number on an exit slip or progress chart.

You can print these PDF files on cardstock or regular paper to laminate. Post them in the classroom where all students can see for easy referencing.
