The lever lessons in this book are supported by three relevant and captivating activities designed to engage children with engineering experiences and teach them to actively think and question the world around them. During these lessons, participants will be introduced to the lever, perform a lever fulcrum experiment, and build and test catapults. Additionally, participants learn to identify levers as a simple machine, use higher level thinking to make comparisons, ask and answer questions, make predictions, and test hypotheses. Participants will be required to work together, encourage teamwork. and necessitate collaboration.
