This is a bundled product of my two separate products focused on the Lewis & Clark Expedition.
What was the Lewis and Clark Expedition? found here:
This packet is intended to be used while reading “What was the Lewis and Clark Expedition?” by Judith St. George. This is a wonderful book! If you haven't read it I highly recommend adding it to your Lewis & Clark unit!
This book can be read independently, whole group or as small book clubs. As you read through this book with your students, use my packet to stop after each chapter for a comprehension and vocabulary check.
Included in this packet:
* 38 Vocabulary words
* 26 Short answer questions
*Compare and Contrast activity
*Multiple "On the Map" activities: locations throughout their
journey to locate and map
*United States Map
I typically map along with my students as we follow Lewis & Clark's journey across the U.S.. Help them find the locations the Corps
stopped at along the way. Map as a class!
This packet is great when paired with my Lewis & Clark journal prompts!
Lewis and Clark Journal activity found here:
Using this journal, students become a member of the Corps of Discovery! Students will document their journey across the Louisiana Territory by creating and writing detailed journal entries about their adventure. This activity is an excellent way to help students understand exactly how difficult and remarkable their journey was to complete.
Students pretend to be a member of the Corps while writing in the first person and in the present tense. My student entries end up being about two to three paragraphs in length.
