A great way to experience what Lewis and Clark experienced is to take your kids outside on their own expedition. I have done this project for several years now, and it has always been one of my students favorites.
Students will go outside at your campus and create a map, take careful journal entries, and collect artifacts to bring back to you. I have carefully explained in the power point what they will be doing and what the requirements are.
This project can be done at your campus, or allow them to explore out somewhere. This can be done alone, or with a partner.
It's a great activity that will take you out of the classroom. Please see the preview file to view student work, and project requirements.
The power point is editable upon purchase, in case you do want to make any changes.
Hope you enjoy!!!
