Product Description
Students move through discovery stations, analyze primary sources, and answer a document based question related to the expedition of Lewis and Clark.

Students begin this Common Core aligned lesson by analyzing the journal entries of Lewis and Clark to determine the success of the expedition. Students fill in their data collection page for each primary source as they rotate through the discovery stations. Ultimately, students will answer the document-based question according to their findings at each discovery station. A pre-writing organizer and rubric are included for the writing portion of this lesson.

Everything is ready to print and includes:

Teacher’s Guide & Lesson Instructions: The lesson is broken down into three components: Background, Discovery Stations, and DBQ. The teacher’s guide provides ideas and tips for implementing each component of the lesson.
