One of the best videos I have seen in any of my American History classes is National Geographic’s “Lewis and Clark: Great Journey West” narrated by Jeff Bridges. Originally filmed for the IMAX movie theaters, this epic tale is extremely informative while keeping students engaged throughout its entirety. I have seen this video over 30 times and still love it! Various links to watch the video are provided in this resource, and video runtime is around 42 minutes.
This product contains a double sided worksheet with 21 questions for students to complete while they watch the Lewis & Clark video. There are also 4 post-reflective questions for classroom discussion. I know that you will enjoy having this lesson as part of your American History and Westward Expansion units. If you end up not using this specific product, I highly recommend watching the video with your students. It's straight-up, top-notch quality!
Download the preview for a closer look and thank you so much for your ratings and comments!
