In 2002, National Geographic released the documentary Lewis and Clark: The Great Journey West, covering the Corps of Discovery in a 40 minute film. It is a great visual for students as you teach them about the journey of Lewis and Clark, as it is completely made with actors without being interrupted by scholars being interviewed. Plus, it is narrated by Jeff Bridges, which makes it extra cool! But, we know that we shouldn't just show videos by themselves. Students need something to keep them engaged and constantly looking and listening for information. The best thing for this particular film is this video guide. It has 15 questions on two pages for your students to stay focused. They are also great for pausing the video and listening to what different students come up with and starting a discussion!
