This companion to the Liberty's Kids series includes worksheets (for fill in during or after viewing this episode). I suggest that the worksheets not be used as a "gotcha" type of quiz, but as a mechanism to start and stop the video and discuss various elements as the show unfolds. A highlighted answer key is included. At the end of each sheet are ideas for discussion, research, or essay that move into the higher levels of Bloom's taxonomy. This second offering is part of a group that will similarly cover the entire series. Though this will be marked elementary to middle school, I admit that (as an English teacher, not a history expert) I myself have learned the fundamentals of the American Revolution through this project. NOTE: Instructional time will vary. For example, completing the worksheet while viewing the show (stopping the video to write) takes approximately forty minutes. The critical thinking questions and projects at the end of the worksheets are optional and could take anywhere from a few minutes to many hours of in-depth reporting and research.
