A FREEBIE for teachers and the littleBits(TM) community, and UPDATED as of November 2014 to fix the QR code link on the first task card!
This product is a set of printable task cards will help students become acquainted with the pieces in the litteBits(TM) Classroom Set and how they can be used in a library makerspace (also called a hackerspace or DIY maker center). If you aren’t familiar with littleBits(TM) or the maker movement, there are a few links within the product’s teacher notes to give some background information.
The task cards include a reference guide to the 4 types of littleBits(TM) and their purposes, a QR code to a video showing some of the capabilities of littleBits(TM) and 11 simple circuits students can create. They are designed to be a mostly self-guided introduction to the littleBits(TM) Classroom Set and how the Bits can be used in a makerspace. These task cards are for the newer Base and Extended Kits, and they allow more students to use the littleBits(TM) at once. See the teacher's notes in the preview for more information.
LittleBits(TM) are small magnetic pieces of electronics that snap together to form circuits that light up, buzz, spin, lift, etc. They are used to create crafts and projects as part of the "maker movement." Seller note: I am NOT being paid to promote littleBits (TM).
