Library Shelf Labels

This is another way to help your students find books they would like more quickly. We purchased thin magazine boxes from Demco (basic ordering info included) and put these labels on the taller side of the magazine boxes. My students and staff really like them ... the bold blue makes them stand out on the shelves compared to other shelf labeling methods. :) Apparently they never really paid much attention to the spine labels on every single book. :/
There are a variety of Dewey topics available, plus letters for the everybody and fiction areas. I tried to make the Dewey numbers fairly generic but cataloging is an interesting and varied art. Printer settings can vary things but the labels measure about 1.8 by not quite 3.7 inches.
