Want to get students thinking about all of the amazing resources the library has to offer? Want to introduce them to new authors, titles and genres? Have them play Library Taboo! Students get a few minutes to get their teammates to guess the library-themed words at the top of each card, but they can't use any of the words underneath the answer as clues. Students will have to dig into their background knowledge to help their teammates guess book titles, characters, authors, genres and more. Teacher-librarians could play this with an entire class, have it at a library center, or simply put it in a game area for students to access. An extra page of blank cards is included so you can choose your own words. Appropriate for a wide range of ages, but younger students may need some support. I recommend mounting cards on card stock and laminating.
