Product Description
This personal word wall notebook was created for students (learning in Spanish) to collect and write words as they found them in books or in conversation that reinforce the phonics and grammar lessons that they are learning in class. After the teacher teaches a phonics or grammar lesson, the students can take time to find examples in texts that they are reading in class. This book is ideal for students in Dual Language, bilingual, or Spanish-only classes. Teachers could create a book for each student to use throughout the school year or print off pages as needed.

In this workbook, there are pages for students to write down words that contain the open syllables (ma, me, mi, mo, mu, pa, pe, pi, po, pu, etc.) and closed syllables (an, en, in, on, un, al, el, il, ol, ul). There are also tables for them to collect words with consonant blends (bla, ble, bli, blo, blu, etc.). They can sort words that contain letters that have the same sounds (letras tramposas) (b/v, c/s/z, c/k/q, etc,) There is also a page of some common diphthongs and hiatos (2 vowels that are together but are part of 2 different syllables). The grammar section of the book includes places to record articles (el, la, los, las) and the nouns that go with them. In the "Noun" section, students record nouns by type (person, animal, place, thing), by feminine and masculine, by plural and singular, and by common and proper. Students will record -ar, -er,and -ir infinitive verbs. They will also conjugate a couple of regular verbs in present, preterite and future tenses. Students will also conjugate several irregular verbs (ser, estar, ir, hacer) Students will also record adverbs, prepositions, adjectives, and words with some popular prefixes. Lastly, students will copy sentences from texts that they are reading in class. There is a page to record statements, questions, exclamations and sentences with conjunctions.
