As I am sure you know, there is a Heroine Epidemic in our country. Life After you by Linda Lajterman is the true account of the death of the author's son to a Heroine overdose. It is a serious look at the reality of drug abuse. In an attempt to "scare straight" my high school English students, I am having my classes read this book independently. This unit is the work packet that I am giving my students to help them process the dangers of drug abuse. I received the novels free through the Donor's Choose website and I would like to pay it forward by offering the materials I created to go with the book for free to other educators who are concerned about drug addiction in the young adult population. Let's save our kids!
