This is a fun alternative to writing science reports about life cycles. Students collect facts about plants and trees then create brochures to display in the classroom!
I've included: the lesson, the template, student examples, and a rubric.
First students should choose a plant or tree type. Then they should begin to look through resources (books, websites, articles, etc.) to collect information. I provided step-by-step directions on how to turn this into an informative brochure, following the rubric I made and included.
I made this example/template on the program Pages on a Mac computer. If your students also have access to this program, there is a brochure template students can download and use themselves (change font, colors, clip art, etc.) If not, you can copy my template and have students hand-write their brochure. There is also a student example included.
