This is a great way to assess students understanding of life cycles in a fun and creative way. Students are allowed to create their own animal or merge different components of different animals to create their very own animal. Well after they have learned about life cycles, they know that every animal has 4 stages of life: birth, growth, adult, and death. Students draw and describe thee stages of their animal's life cycle, explaining what they look like at birth (are they eggs that hatch or a live birth) to what they look like as an adult.
