This menu is designed to provide anchor activities following a class project on Life Cycles. One of the easiest class projects to conduct is one on the life cycle of a beetle. You can buy about 100 mealworms from your local pet store for under $2.00. They feed on oatmeal. The students can watch them go through the same stages that a caterpillar goes through to become a butterfly.
This menu is set up by Bloom's Taxonomy. In each activity box, you will see one of the following letters: E (Evaluation), S (Synthesis), and A (Analysis). This would be great for all kids, especially gifted students who will have an opportunity to receive a challenge while working on the same objective as the rest of the class.ENJOY!
