This huge life cycle unit is full of activities with animal life cycle interactive notebook pages, posters, sorting cards, platypus craftivity, printables, sorting activity, flip booklet and I Have... Who Has Game.
This unit focuses on the animal groups of amphibians, reptiles, fish, birds, mammals, and insects.
There is a flip booklet that is a research project. The booklet is open-ended so it can be used for a variety of learners. Posters, sorting cards, 7 printables (one for each animal group), sorting activity, game and 12 interactive notebook pages are also part of this unit. Finally, there is a project with a platypus. A research sheet is provided for your students to use as they fill out their booklets on the platypus. Then they can make the platypus out of a paper bag and slide their booklet inside.
The interactive notebook pages go through each animal group. Students will put information into a chart about the features of that animal group. Then they will identify some of the special features of 4 animals in that group. Finally, one animal's life cycle will be created for each animal group. (salamander, turkey, bat, butterfly, salmon, and sea turtle.)
The printables focus on a different animal than what is featured in the interactive notebook.
