This standards-based unit includes *7* multi-day lessons, including several STEM lessons, aligned to Ohio's third grade Academic Content Standards, Revised (2010) for Life Science.
-- Plants and animals have life cycles that are part of their adaptations for survival in their natural environment.
-- Individuals of the same kind differ in their traits and sometimes the differences give individuals an advantage in surviving and reproducing.
-- Offspring resemble their parents and each other.
Each lesson has a list of materials needed, Internet links (if applicable), step-by-step instructions to guide you through the activities, and extensions to consider as part of your instruction. In addition to all that, you will also get a post-assessment based on the concepts learned through the lessons and the standards.
