PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Life Skills - Let's Ride The Elevator Interactive Activity!
Learning to ride the elevator independently is a skill that must be practiced by our special needs teens and young adults. Promoting independence as our kids begin jobs, attend doctor's visits, or handle appointments, is key to their success. This "hands-on" activity allows students to practice skills used in this type of situation - riding the elevator. This activity comes complete with a realistic elevator control panel, elevator button cards (up/down arrows, floor numbers, yellow circle button numbers), Directory Task Cards, 24 business cards, five "Where Are They Going?" visual situation cards, and elevator task cards. Print on white card stock and laminate for durability. I did not use velcro for this activity with my students. Instead, I used this as a teaching opportunity with either me or the classroom assistant. EASY-to-use in your classroom TODAY!

IEP Goal Alignment:
Given a business card or written direction indicating the location of an office within a building, STUDENT will be able to locate the floor and office number by using the elevator or walking, in 4 out of 5 opportunities, by MONTH, YEAR.
