In this highly-engaging centers activity, students navigate through 6 different stations, each which focuses on a different aspect of life as a slave!
Students learn about slave auctions, the abolitionist movement, slave rebellions, slave punishments, general life in the United States, and the role and experiences of Frederick Douglass!
This eye-opening simulation places students in the shoes of an American slave and is a great complement to any unit of slavery, the Southern economy, or the struggle for freedom!
**2 stations are video-based (abolition and Frederick Douglass) and are great when viewed at class computers, iPods, iPads, or as a class once the others are finished!
