A lesson and project for Grade 6 to 10 that examines the First Crusade from the viewpoint of Muslim Arabs in the Holy Land, Jews who lived in Europe, Western European Catholics, and Eastern Orthodox Christians from the Byzantine Empire. The lesson plan relies on 4 primary texts: Manuscript of Raymond d’Aguiliers, the writings of Ibn al-Athir, the Solomon Bar Simson Chronicle, the Alexiad by Anna Comnena. All texts have been modified and excerpted by The International Classroom.
