Life in the Middle Colonies, A Play

Life in the Middle Colonies, A Play
Product Description
Here is a skit I use when we are learning about the Middle Colonies in my classroom.

It is a great way to enhance any lesson about the Middle Colonies either to introduce some of the characteristics of this region or reinforce what has been taught.

All of my skits are written to engage students and get them thinking. Most contain a little bit of humor, as well. This one does. If you'd like to see all of my plays, skits, re-enactments, simulations and other lesson starters please visit my store on TeachersPayTeachers.

These are some of the characteristics of the Middle Colonies that are in this skit:

Diverse people groups in this region
Tolerance
Different religious groups
Variety of trades
Wheat/Grain production and Grist Mills
The issue of slavery
Competition between former slaves and citizens in some of the major cities like Philadelphia and New York City

Enjoy and please let me know what you think!
