In this highly-engaging activity, students are introduced to life in the trenches during World War One. Students are first guided through an engaging PowerPoint presentation that introduces the start of World War I, why it begins, the role of the United States, and what fighting was like. Students will also watch TWO of the included video clips that show the hardships and conditions of the trenches. Then, students will navigate the room in a stations-based activity where students investigate SIX different sources from those who actually fought in those conditions! Students will compile their evidence on a bubble-map, then complete a summative writing assignment to showcase what they've learned!
A Google 1:1 compatible version is included in this product! Use in either a traditional setting or in the 1:1 environment!
Very engaging and guaranteed to pique your students interest!
