Light: A mini book about light
This science mini book has a cover, 8 pages of text with illustrations and a page for students to write three things that they learned about light. Two differentiated versions are included.
Transparent, Translucent and Opaque Read and Write Mini Book
This mini book has one page each to explain transparent, translucent and opaque. It is then followed by 12 pages, each with a different object along with a sentence in which students need to fill in the blank with the word transparent, translucent or opaque. On the final page of the book students need to draw a line to match the word with the picture that shows it. The book has 17 pages total.
Light Practice Worksheets ENGLISH
There are 7 worksheets total and are as follows:

Light Picture Sorts (for creating anchor charts)
With this resource you can make two separate anchor chart sorts. The first is a T chart sort of Sources of Light/NOT Sources of Light. The second can be done as a circle chart on Sources of Light: Artificial and Natural. There are 18 pictures of sources of light (a mix of artificial and natural) and 18 pictures of things that are not sources of light.
Scrambled Sentences: Light (English version)
These sentences were made to go along well with the mini book. There are 4 versions of the same sentence differentiated for your students. The four versions include:
1) Copying the sentence onto plain lines
2) Copying the sentence onto ruled lines
3) Cutting and pasting the sentence in order to match the written sentence
4) Cutting and pasting the words to make the sentence and then writing the sentence on the line(s) below.
Topics covered include light waves, translucent, transparent, opaque, natural light, artificial light, reflection and shadows.

Partners or small groups of students will have fun playing this fun science spinner game! Use it as part of an introduction or review of transparent, translucent and opaque during your light unit. Use the included posters to introduce or review the topic and display them throughout the unit. If choosing to use this game in the beginning of the unit, the answer sheet will help students self-check their answers while playing.
