1) Electricity KWL Chart: Students fill in this KWL chart throughout their study of electricity.
2) Electricity Venn Diagram: Students complete a Venn Diagram to compare/contrast life with and without electricity.
3) Electric or Not?: Students sort common objects as electric or not.
4) Static or Current?: Students sort scenarios as using static or current electricity.
5) Electricity Roller Can Racers: Students use static electricity to move (and race) empty soda cans.
6) "Current" Events Experiment: Students experiment with series and parallel circuits. (2 pages)
7) Series or Parallel Activity: Students label series and parallel circuits and draw examples.
8) Dividing Light Experiment: Students conduct an experiment to show that light is made of many different colors. (2 pages)
9) Electro-magnificent Electromagnets Experiment: Students create their own electromagnets and experiment with making them stronger. (2 pages)
10) Insulator or Conductor Experiment: Students test different materials to determine if they are insulators or conductors. (2 pages)
11) In the Spotlight Experiment: Students test different materials to determine if they are transparent, translucent, or opaque. (2 pages)
12) Electricity Contributor Report: Students complete a report on someone who made a great contribution to the development of electricity.
