Light Energy Flipbook: Transparent, Translucent, and Opaque Objects
This flipbook is designed to give students real experience with transparent, translucent, and opaque objects. Students will view the world through three different "lenses" to understand the different ways light passes through objects. They'll use concrete examples to answer questions relating to how much light passes through different objects and how well the world can be seen through these objects. They'll have the definitions for each word on hand as well.
The flipbook comes in color and in black and white. The color version is best for educators who have less time to spend on this activity, as students will only need to cut and paste. The black and white version is best used for educators who have more time because it allows students to get creative and decorate their cameras. The black and white version can even double as art activity. Both versions achieve the same goal, but allow educators the flexibility to work the activity in to their specific schedules and curriculum.
