This light experiment is easy to follow for students. They take every day objects and hold them up to the light. In doing so, they can determine if most of the light, some of the light, or none of the light passes through. Then, they can decide if the object is transparent, translucent, or opaque.
In part two, students can use colour goggles to determine how they see the room, tying back to the idea of translucent objects and their ability to let some light through.
