Hello Science Teachers!
Light Jeopardy is a fun, interactive review game for students in fifth grade science focusing on Light. This game includes the answers and is in PowerPoint format (will also open on Mac’s Keynote), so please be aware of this before you purchase! The questions relate to Ohio’s Fifth Grade Science Standards. When students choose a category and a point amount, click it and it will take you to the question. After the student or group has answered, click on the arrow and it’ll take you back to the game board. I usually put the students in 3 groups and have each student take a turn to answer. So I start with a student in group A then move on to a student in group B, then C and circle back around. If a group gets it wrong, I allow the other two groups the opportunity to steal. I choose a volunteer from each group and they play one round of rock, paper, scissors to see which group gets the steal. I also usually designate one responsible student to be a scorekeeper. When you have gone through all of the questions, winners get an extra 2 points on their final test!
