While teaching this to my Fourth Graders I noticed that this is one of our shortest yet densest units vocabulary wise. The concepts the students need to learn and apply as they study how Light Energy works is a lot to cover in under two weeks.
So I came up with these task cards to help my students have a little more fun with the material. The game board is a way to get two-four players more interactive. It's a simple 'Move Up to the Top Before the Others' game board. Students have to answer a series of task cards correctly to move up the board.
There are 20 task cards in this set covering information about absorption, convex vs. concave, refraction, reflection, and how light travels.
I've included an Answer Key as well.
