Students explore light and optics through an inquiry-based project based around designing solutions to light pollution in their home town/city. The design thinking process was used to create the project, with phases of ideating, prototyping, feedback cycles, revising and showcasing as the pillars. Connecting with local exerts is encouraged to make the project meaningful and authentic!
This product contains the prototype design handout [ideating phase]
The design phase handout has a timeline and break down of work to be completed on each day. The handout is given to students once they have decided on the light pollution problem they want to solve and helps guide them through the steps to creating a prototype solution.
