This is a set of engaging activities or tasks for your students to complete after you have already worked on the concepts of light and sound. There are seven activities (tasks) included in this set as well as a directions page. I have also included a few sample pictures of student projects. My students loved working on these tasks because they were engaging. Students have to apply what they learned about light and sound to a meaningful task/challenge (Ex. Using what you have learned about the properties of light and how it reflects, create a new system of mirrors for a bus or semi-truck so it has less blind spots.). Materials needed are: individual mirrors, flashlights, glass jars, wooden spoon, cardboard, construction paper, foil, wax paper, cotton balls, foam, wooden popsicle sticks, and markers/crayons. If you find this product helpful, feel free to check out my other science projects and activities!
Be sure to check out my "Light and Sound Box" to have your students make for a homework project or just a great way to review!
