This learning module strives to acquaint students with the Great Lakes, by way of a 'tour' around them. This tour highlights some famous lighthouses and discusses their features, as well as the role they play on the Lakes. This module also discusses the Lakes themselves and special features of each one.
Use the activities listed. All information may be acquired through the US Coast Guard or your local Naval Station, if you live near one. Great to use if you live near a Lake and can visit it.
Read, discuss, share completed activities. Integrate with social studies, geography, science, and environmental study as you are able. Be creative!
