A cover sheet for the Lighting Unit in Technical Theatre, introduces students to the lighting designer and what lighting can communicate to an audience.
Who is the lighting designer? The person that chooses what lighting looks will be used for a show by designing the color, angle, pattern, and location of the lights.
What is the primary purpose of lighing? To illuminate the stage and the actor.
What else can lighting do? Set mood, indicate time and place, focus the audience's attention, create characters (i.e. Tinkerbell in Peter Pan) and more.
