In this activity, students interview their classmates about their likes and dislikes and record their responses on the chart. The chart includes a basic sample dialogue to help students build confidence and fluency. The second page of the document is the same chart with corresponding clip art to make sure all students understand the categories before you begin. Students not ready to interview each other yet? Make sure everyone understands the categories, then give each student a chart to complete based on their own preferences. Either way, I've found that this activity leads to extended social conversations among my ESL students!
*While this activity was intended for my adult learners, very young ESL learners could draw their likes and dislikes in the boxes or could dictate their responses in English or their native language.
