**NEW UPDATE: Printables are now in BOTH Spanish and English along with two versions of vocabulary used in English.**
This a character analysis of Lilly from Kevin Henke's Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse (Spanish translation: Lily y su bolso morado de plastico). The printable assessments are in Spanish since I created this lesson for my first grade bilingual class. This lesson is very thought out and Common Core aligned.
Included are the following:
*The full written lesson plan with complete modifications, details and instruction that I successfully used in my classroom. :)
*Ideas for the formative assessment.
*two printable versions of the summative assessment (one is modified for students who are not the strongest writers yet)
This is a great resource if you are being evaluated at your school or if you need your students to learn the retelling and details in a text skill through a fun and interactive lesson.
"The central focus of this lesson is based on the Common Core standards to increase the skill of retelling details and describing a text using information provided by both pictures and words. This lesson in particular combines the skill of retelling and details in application to character analysis" - from the lesson plan I created.
