**UPDATED with new fonts and backgrounds!**
I created this packet to help my third graders prepare for an upcoming Reading Fair project. This was their first time doing a project of this nature, so I wanted to help them become familiar with the type of information that was required for their project. This packet was also aligned with our "Proud to be an American" thematic unit and our study of American symbols.
Lily and Miss Liberty by Carla Stevens is a great book to use as a read aloud (to be read by the teacher or as a class) or an independent reading book--especially for American themed units!
This activity is great for second and third graders to complete as they progress through the story or after they finish the book. This can be completed independently, in small groups/guided reading groups, or as a class!
