This is a hands-on line plot activity for students to practice making line plots is a lot of fun. I like to use this as a teacher-directed activity for students who may need extra help.
What is included?
The are 4 sets of line plots graphs. Each set has 4 task cards. Each set is color coded for easy sorting.
I’ve also included a blank line plot graph for students to write the numbers on using dry erase markers. There are 4 task cards for this graph.
Copy at least 2 pages of the X pieces, laminate and cut apart. The number will be determined by how many students are working at one time.
Laminate line plot graphs and task cards. Depending on how you use this activity, you may want to print several copies of each line plot graph.
For example: You could print 4 green line plot graphs and have 4 students at one time working on that set of task cards.
Another option is to use the black line plot graph for all task cards and have the students write the frequency for each set.

I’ve also included full page task cards for projecting onto a board for a whole group activity.
