Line Symmetry: Your kiddos will have fun figuring out this owl mystery picture puzzle. First, they’ll find the symmetrical shapes on the clues page. Next, they’ll draw the lines shown by the clue into the corresponding square on their grid. To locate a specific square, they’ll use grid coordinates by matching the symmetrical shapes from the clue.
When the puzzle has been solved correctly, an image of an owl with line symmetry will appear. After the drawing is complete, students can color it with their choice of colors so each one will be unique. This puzzle has 56 clues—download the Preview for more info. Note: the Preview images are lower resolution due to file size limitations; the product file images are high resolution.
Included: How to Solve it poster, Printable Grid, Clues, and Answer key. It’s a fun math + art activity for any time of year, but especially in the fall. Other related themes include forest animals, predators, birds, and wild animals.
