Lining up has never been so much fun! These 20 cards are a great way to motivate your students to line up. Plus, this activity allows class members to learn something new about each other. Print, cut, and glue the cards onto cardstock. Laminate the cards, cut, and either place in a container to draw out a card or hole punch the cards onto a ring. Whichever works best for you!
Now you are all set! Just pull a card out of a container or flip to a card on a ring, and read it aloud. I try to do one or two of these cards a day. After each word or phrase is read aloud, pause to allow those students to line up (if what you said applies to them). The idea is to have all of your students lined up by the time you reach the last word or phrase on the card.
Great for starting a new school year! These cards can also be incorporated into learning procedures, journal and other writing activities, and sharing circle time.
